There are truths which I know to be self-evident.
There is no worse feeling than to know that you failed yourself.
See Success, it feels normal like breathing in air or drinking water,
but failure is unbearable.
It can burn out the fire in your soul, making you gasp for oxygen.

Every day, when we go home and settle down with a cup of tea
or a glass of wine
or a jug of juice
we're all thinking the same thing: thank goodness the day is over.
We're not ready for the next day,
or jumping for joy about the end of today.

We are all suffering
from external influences
and internal ones too.
Disappointments hurt us, especially when its in ourselves.

But we are also all in love,
with an idea,
a faith,
a hope that one day things will be better and
that maybe our dreams would come true.

As people intertwined,
there are forces as work which make us compete against each other
for the same jobs and positions to gain.
But really, we are all brothers and sisters
in this extended family of humanity.

I know that we are not perfect,
though we are trying to be perfection embodied.
There's nothing wrong with that.

There's also nothing wrong with falling to rock bottom,
because I know that at the end of the fall,
we'll dust off our knees and try again,
with nothing but up to climb.

This morning I saw this a Ted Talks by Sarah Kay and it prompted me to think of a new way to write without totally alienating the things which bother me right now.

The talk surrounds the growth of an artist and her route to self-discovery through telling stories. She has a beautiful voice and is truly inspiring.
